Link gets mini makeover

For awhile I was obsessed with my DS Lite. Then Wii came along and I was perfecting my bowling game and making Mii's for the cast of Heroes. Now I'm back to my DS with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

Link looks so cute smaller. And he even gets dizzy if you do too many somersaults or spin attacks. Oh, but the game itself is fun. You get some new tools, so it's got some differences from previous Zelda versions.

I haven't really put this game on since I got it. I once played it in the morning, had to go to work, but couldn't save/turn off the game, so I brought it with me to work. No, I didn't play at work, but I kept charging the DS and still kept the game running all day. Unfortunately, after work, I forgot that it was still running and I accidentally powered it off. So yes, that was me screaming last Thursday night.

Pushing Daisies

I'm sad summer's over, but so glad that the cooler weather brings better TV shows. At the top of my Tivo list is ABC's Pushing Daisies. It's a pretty complicated plot, but once you get it, you won't want to get off. The show is cute, funny, and looks gorgeous. I especially love the outfits that Chuck (the lead lady) wears. She has this trench (Burberry?) that I must go out and find. And all her dresses are oh so lovely. The pies don't look so bad either. Yums.

Take a dive with Russian Navy

I was never a black nail polish kind of girl. In fact, I always went for sheer colors. But after seeing an entire Nordstrom catalog of models with nail hues of dark and metallic blues, I couldn't resist.

I went bold and tried OPI's Russian Navy. It's a deep indigo, which I thought was purple, but it's actually between a blue and purple on the color spectrum. Which explains why in some lights the polish looks navy blue, and other times it looks dark purple. I love it either way. I have noticed though that my outfits tend to be darker now, to match with the darker polish. I'm sure it would look great with brighter colored clothes though.

The only disadvantage with dark polish is that I have to make sure I apply carefully. Those little mistakes really show.
